Yijia Zhao is a level five student from China, who really enjoys painting and watercolour. At the same time, they like to explore new creative techniques such as printing, whilst also enjoying drawing nice scenery, animals and plants. When illustrating, they enjoys creating interesting textural effects to give their work more interest.
The work they are showing is about a little girl looking for memories. Everyong has very previous childhood memories, even if they may be firmly buried deep in the heart. The main character of their work eventually finds their memories through a series of adventures. Yijia utilised printmaking to create the picture book.
